About Me
Hello! I'm Emily.
I have yellowish hair, green eyes, and chronic RBF. I'm that uncomfortably quiet person in the corner that you're probably not quite sure about.
I am also a twenty-something INFJ and a creative with a passion for writing, art, and photography. I am a lover of horses, oceans, moody skies, used books, and mountains, obsessed with Tolkien, comic universes, and misc. fictional worlds.
I write (and read) books. Fantasy, fairy-tale, dystopian, contemporary...basically anything that catches my fancy and holds the promise of something unique and thought-provoking.
I was born and live in a close-knit farming community of rural Alberta, Canada. Currently, I live in a little, green house surrounded by big, green trees with my husband and a selection of plants, often spending time on my parents' farm with my horses, dogs, cats, and cows. After graduation in 2015, I began a Creative Writing course through the University of Calgary and obtained my certificate in June, 2017.
Aside from crafting stories and worlds, I also love to read, draw or paint, take photos, ride horses, go hiking in the Rockies, travel to beautiful new places, run around barefoot, climb trees, sing, line-dance at various family/community functions and rant about my favorite (and least favorite) things.
I might just be obsessed with Tolkien, horses, junk food, exploring, buying books, comic characters, collecting music from my favorite bands, creating worlds, photo-editing and a great too many other things.
I believe in an amazing Creator, a loving God who gave his life for mine.
This blog is a kaleidoscope of writing-related topics, from tips gathered from my writing process, creative organization and time management, the creation of fantasy worlds, travel and discovery, being an independent creative, and all things books! My goal is to share aspects of my creative journey in a fun, encouraging environment. Coming alongside other creative entrepreneurs in their journey is a passion of mine. Let's connect!

Hey, nice blog! You are definitely one cool girl ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Haha, good to see you on here. :)
DeleteOh my word, so I'm going to do a list like you did on my blog (but I'm only going to do the stuff we haven't said already).
ReplyDeleteQuiet girl in the corner? Check.
Loves horses? Check.
Loves the mountains? Check.
Likes to run around barefoot? Check.
Likes to climb trees? Check.
I'm pretty much a tomboy. My eyes are blue not green (I absolutely loove green eyes though), but that doesn't mean we aren't twins. And, I can't say that I'm getting married, but congratulations! :D
Awesomesauce!! Haha, that's all so cool. Climbing trees is honestly the best and more people should be doing it. Trees were meant to be climbed.
DeleteThank you so much - I am quite excited!
"the resting face of a serial killer" SAME. XD
ReplyDeleteNice to see a fellow INFJ blogging, and it's so cool that you were homeschooled! I'm currently being homeschooled and it's great. ^.^
It's a mixed blessing, sometimes more of a curse!
DeleteNice to meet you! Homeschooling is great and it's awesome that there's such a large community of young, Christian, homeschooled writers out there.
